My students need alphabet and rhyming sound teaching tubs, phonics picture wheels, pocket charts for the question of the day & the letter of the day as well as scissors.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students rush in every morning, smiling & chattering, and check the room to see what we will learn that day. They are impatient with the alphabet and can't wait until they can learn to read. What great energy!
98% of our students' families depend upon the free- and reduced-price breakfast & lunch program in order to feed their children.
As most families are English language learners, they must work several, low-wage jobs in order to provide a roof over their heads and often two families share one apartment. There are three sets of cousins in my class, and they help each other. It's so sweet to see their strong family bond.
My students' families are interested in learning English and ensuring their children succeed in school. One can see that by the way the children are groomed to a shine.
My Project
As my students are not native English speakers, they struggle both with English language sounds and vocabulary. The various teaching tubs I am requesting contain miniature items. The 'B' tub contains a bear, a ball, a basket, etc. In this way, they learn the correct pronunciation as well as broaden their vocabulary. The question of the day chart not only provides engaging reading practice, but also graphing and adding. The letter of the day chart provides additional, focused practice on each letter with fun, colorful visuals that the children can use independently. What's a classroom without scissors?
