Literature Circles

Help me give my students multiple copies of texts for end of the year literature circles.

My Project

At the end of the school year our district curriculum suggests literature circles as a way to get students introduced to new types of texts that they perhaps have not experienced before. I am looking to expand our classroom library to include some nonfiction literature circles, and add to our already diverse fiction literature circle choices. Students have varied interests, so I assume their reading interests are equally diverse.

Allowing student choice in literature circles can help even my struggling readers learn and develop a love of reading.

At our school we strive to turn our readers into leaders. I cannot wait to have this project funded to show my students that their love of reading can grow each year.
