My Students

I will have a group of energetic, creative and thoughtful first grade leaders in my classroom. With the new return to school procedures in place, I want the students to have an outlet through the arts that they can use the materials freely and have an abundant supply. I will have about 20 students in my class. This project will benefit first grade students.

My Project

Students will utilize the materials being purchased to create various art projects that correlate with the mentor text they are studying each week. Students will create projects with multiple resources and incorporate their own creativity and artistic representations.

My students have loved being able to express themselves creatively in the past year and it has helped with their social-emotional well-being during these difficult times.

I want to continue to support my students' social and emotional well-being by offering a variety of crafting supplies and opportunities that align with our classroom literature activities. Students will use the supplies during weekly art-based center times as well as a free choice activity.
