This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach language arts to high school students with disabilities. I am requesting literacy workbooks to supplement our curriculum and to enhance my students’ skills.
Our current curriculum introduces essential reading and analytical skills, but additional literacy workbooks would allow my students to develop these skills in depth.
Many of my students benefit from structured activities that build comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence in analyzing texts. By integrating these workbooks, I can provide targeted support and create a more engaging, impactful learning environment. The additional practice will also support the varied learning levels in my classroom, and it will address specific literacy challenges and improve students overall academic confidence
