This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are from a small community and very diverse. I am also going to be teaching a chunk of students still learning the English language. I have two hours dedicated to supporting these learners. One of those hours is dedicated to small-group instruction.

Literacy instruction is a core part of understanding language for native and second language learners.

I want to provide meaningful resources and stations for these students to explore and study literacy and the English language. These materials will help me do exactly that. Tangible and concrete materials as they are learning are more likely to stick with these students as they learn.
