My Project
I teach students with a range of learning disabilities, including ADHD, and processing disorders. They are bright, creative, and eager to learn—but they need specialized support to thrive. I serve students in a resource classroom and co-teach in general education classrooms, where individualized instruction is essential.
This project will fund Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards, which I’ll use to purchase high-quality, teacher-created materials that support independent literacy practice.
These resources will include:
*. Decodable readers and phonics-based games for foundational reading skills
*. Comprehension passages with built-in scaffolds
*. Literacy task cards, writing prompts, and graphic organizers
*Visual supports and anchor charts to reinforce strategies
These tools will be used to create literacy stations that allow students to work independently or in small groups while practicing reading and writing skills at their level.
Students with learning disabilities often need extra support and repetition to master reading skills. Having access to well-designed materials makes it easier to provide that support in a fun, accessible way. These resources will help bridge the gap between what students can do independently and what they’re working toward boosting their confidence and academic success.
