Literacy Materials for Montessori

Help me give my students quality reading materials that reflect Montessori values of celebrating differences across our world, recognizing similarities between all people, soaking up history to inform the future, and being intentional with our mindset.

My Project

Montessori philosophy puts a strong emphasis on an individual's identity as part of their communities, and also puts an emphasis on having responsibility to contribute within those communities. The books in this project all contribute to students connecting to their place in their worldly community by seeing how much all people have in common. These books will also allow them to learn about, and celebrate cultural differences and the richness these bring to our lives, and communities.

These books will also allow students to further learn about growth mindset, and apply that knowledge to intentionally engage their work in the classroom academically, emotionally and socially.
