This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students at our school have gaps in their foundation skills for decoding letters and letter combinations to become fluent readers. Opportunities to practice recently taught decoding concepts are necessary to master these skills. At our school, our building is teaming up to create a brand new, high interest, decodable library where students can check out books that reinforce skills taught by their teachers and can be practiced at home as well. We need high quality, science of reading backed materials and storage materials to create a new section in our school library.
