This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project has some materials that my students can use in the classroom when they are learning new words to help them become stronger readers. The sand is for students to write words in it so they get the tactile experience. The letters and magnetic pans are to build words over and over without loosing letters, and the notebooks are for students to create their own book of newly learned words. Providing students with multiple exposures to words helps the students internalize the word.
These materials provide hands on experiences to help students learn new words, interact with material and have fun!
