My Project

My Kindergarten class needs more hands-on materials for literacy. We have all had a time in our lives when something was just too hard to learn. Imagine learning how to cook, but never being able to physically try it. You never really know how to do something until you physically try it. My kindergartners will be able to use these games to spell out words, make sentences, sound out letters, and see how to write the letters.

These games will help not just the struggling kindergartners, but also help all of them giving them hands-on experience.

If you think about it, this is where the foundations of the rest of their lives begin. They need to know their letters to make words and words to make sentences. Those are the building blocks that get our kids reading and writing. My school is located in a diverse indigenous area that is not fortunate enough to get these hands-on experiences at home, I would love to provide them for them here at school.
