Literacy Learning for Kindergarten!

Help me give my students binders to collect assessments, charts and post-its to enrich literacy lessons, and a cart to help organize supplies!

My Project

As we take on a new literacy program for our district this coming school year, I am looking to have all the materials needed to help my students excel in developing the new skills the program will pursue. This program has students engage in lots of opportunities to draw connections between themselves, books, and their lives. Having access to large Post-it pads and small Post-it notes will help students to engage in this process. Students will work together in small groups to draw conclusions and create charts that are referred to throughout each module.

This program also has students create journals and writing samples to be stored throughout the year.

It will be incredible to see their growth and progress as they increase their critical thinking skills, as well as their writing skills. The binders would help to organize these collections of work, help us add to them easily as we move through the program, and be accessible when we need to reference previous work.

A new program has a lot of new materials to organize, so having the cart and other storage supplies will help me keep the materials easily accessible. Since it is a new program to both my students and I, I feel that this will help me focus on the curriculum the best that I can!
