This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Dr. Seuss once said, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
I am a first grade teacher to a classroom full of young, eager learners who are starting the exciting journey of becoming fluent readers.
My students are bright, happy, and excited to learn as much as they possibly can.
They absolutely LOVE station time! Literacy and Math stations are their favorite time of day because they feel independent and in charge of their own learning, which is AMAZING!
My Project
Literacy Stations are an integral part of becoming a good reader. However, Literacy Stations must be meaningful and engaging in order to be effective. By having a Listening Station as a Literacy Center, my students will be exposed to literature in an interactive and enjoyable way which will lead to their own increased reading fluency.
Becoming a fluent reader can be a difficult daunting task, however a Listening Station is a fun and exciting way for students to learn in an engaging way.
If we can help create enthusiastic learners at a young age, the sky is the limit!
