Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is for a variety of books and graphic novels that all focus on critical moments and ideas in American History. I want to create a literacy lab in my room where students can access exciting and engaging books to read, study and enjoy while they take AP US History. These books will help excite my students and make difficult concepts more relatable to them. It will also help instill a love of literacy and reading by providing a variety of reading materials for them to choose from.
History is, after all, the story of the human experience.
This project helps them read about that story from diverse perspectives so that they can learn about their own unique place in American history.
