Literacy Kits for New Special Ed. Teachers

Help me give my students with Autism totes for emerging literacy kits. These teaching materials kits promote hands-on learning, and will be given to our special education teachers who are new to teaching and building their instructional materials!

My Project

New special education teachers often enter their classroom with very limited teaching materials. Their learners with Autism often need hands-on learning experiences to meet their unique needs. Our goal is to help these teachers get a head start by providing literacy kits of hands-on materials to use for teaching emerging literacy skills.

These totes will allow us to assemble a wide-variety of manipulatives that we have gathered, so new teachers will be ready to have all students participate in literacy learning!

This project may seem simple, but know that it will make a great impact!
