My Project

I am looking for help supplying K-2 teachers in my district with training and materials to better their practice of teaching reading. I have been extensively trained in the Science of Reading and have learned how to best teach literacy to ALL students within the classroom including students who may have dyslexia. Researchers estimate 1 in 5 students may have dyslexia. That is about 5 students in every classroom who may struggle to read compared to their peers.

I would like to offer a book study for 25 teachers to dive into the book called "The 7 Mighty Moves" by Lindsay Kemeny where they will gain more knowledge on how to use explicit, sequential and systematic instruction to meet the needs of the students they serve.

The teachers in my district are so hungry to learn how to best help their students and I would love to give them this opportunity to transform their instruction into something mighty because ALL students deserve to know how to read!
