My Students

My students are second graders who attend a public school in a high poverty area. They come to school with high hopes of learning new and interesting things.

This is my second year teaching second grade.

I am in a new room that lacks a lot of basic supplies. Little by little I will be able reach my goal with your support. One thing my students need some literacy materials to help with their phonics, writing and reading. These materials are badly needed!

My Project

Literacy is the key to learning! It is the foundation in which students are able to build a solid base in order to help them gain all the the skills they need to help them throughout their school career and beyond.

A student who has strong literacy skills are able to take an active part in their school career.

They have the tools to gain all the skills they need to take on all the opportunities the educational system has to offer.

So I am asking you to help my students with the following materials - writing package prompts , non-fiction reading skills book, learning mat for short vowels, literacy centers based on phonics etc. We need these materials badly.
