This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of my goals as an educator is to get my scholars to read! Reading is power. From Parable of the Sower to Dragon Ball Z, I want my kids to have it all. With this generation of kids typically reading less than the last generation, I'm trying to cultivate lifelong readers.

Reading captivates the imagination, and all kids deserve books in their language and of their interest.

It was in the classroom where I first really fell in love with reading. I would read while my classmates did a lesson on the carpet, not hearing or seeing anyone because I was so invested in the story.

I hope to instill this love of literature in my kids. All books will go in my classroom library and be available for kids to check out anytime!
