My Project

This project aims to provide high school students with access to diverse and culturally relevant literature that resonates with their lived experiences and broadens their understanding of the world. By curating and distributing novels that reflect the identities, histories, and voices of students from various backgrounds, this initiative seeks to foster a love for reading, improve literacy skills, and promote inclusivity in education.

My students are constantly trying to find novels that capture their attention.

But as we all know, books can be expensive. Which means that they are often stuck choosing between the same few books over and over again.

By providing students with more book options that are relevant to them and their lives, they are more likely to engage with the reading process. Through this, they will become more literate and engaged members of the society around them.
