Literacy in the Art Room

My Project

One of our schools goals this year is to bridge the gap in literacy. Over the past year and a half, literacy scores have dropped due to being out of the building. As an art teacher it is more difficult for me to include literacy in our everyday lessons. I am looking to set up an art reading corner for early finishers. The books that I have chosen directly relate to the art projects and artists that we study through out the year. My hope is to make this reading center a permanent part of our routine in the art room.
