Literacy In STEM

Help me give my students greater exposure to literature as I incorporate novels into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) challenges, lessons, and activities.

My Project

Incorporating literature in STEM instruction will support all students at our school in ways that transcend beyond the STEM Specials classroom. These engaging books will empower students to communicate about STEM concepts, identify/solve problems, and foster a love of reading.

My goal is to use these books to help build academic vocabulary, develop critical thinking, and inspire my students to pursue careers in STEM fields.

These books have been hand picked to spark curiosity and engage students in meaningful STEM activities. There is an engaging challenge, activity, or lesson associated with each book.
