This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a spirited bunch of sprightly sprats who are inquisitively energetic learners, and many are not native speakers of English.

My students are inquisitive, energetic, eclectic, global learners needing resources to help them gain a love of reading and establish a culture of literacy at our campus.

Pre-existing lower-income and socio-economic demographics are considerably aggravated by language and cultural barriers. Nevertheless, students are eager to learn and divest themselves of previous woes. This funding opportunity will help supply some resources and bolster equitable access to education that connects them to a global community of learners free from linguistic barriers.

As a dedicated, technology-oriented educator, I merely seek resources to support students in such a direction to diverse the learning process and opportunities.

My Project

Manga is a enduring style of narrative story that has developed an impassioned following of young readers.

This project extends our library collection to allow students to continue reading the manga they have started reading, and they want to continue their reading to follow the characters and storylines they love.

Although we might have the first volume of a series, it is never the end of the story with manga series for young readers.

This project ensures that students have access to the stories they love, and enthusiastically willingly wish to continue reading, which helps establish a fundamental basis for a successful and engaged lifelong kinship with literacy for the next generation of readers.
