Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 3rd grade at a Title I elementary school in Tampa, Florida. Most of the families are economically disadvantaged. Many students are below level in reading and need to be presented with fun, encouraging ways to learn to enjoy reading and build confidence.

Students love when learning is presented in a game format.

These Can Do! and bingo literacy games help students improve phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. They also give students an opportunity to develop their social emotional skills, as they learn to interact cooperatively. Your support will help students see reading proficiency as something they can achieve and help them on their journey as lifelong learners.
