I teach kindergarten in a title I school & a high-needs community.
Most of our students receive free or reduced lunch and 90% of our students come from ethnic backgrounds. We are a fine-arts magnet school seeking to integrate the arts and combine them with academics for increased learning.
My Project
I'm requesting 2 Language Instant Learning Center kits that will help my students independently practice literacy skills such as letters, sounds, rhyming, blending and digraphs. These kits will allow children to practice concepts learned in class and build confidence in acquired skills.
Kindergarten is the base for all learning.
Early literacy success will help the students achieve success later in their school careers. They will take with them the skills they learn here and build upon them for the rest of their lives. A good foundation is the key!
