This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a variety of cultures, low-income families, and hard-working middle-class families, which therefore results in plenty of hardships for them daily. This being said though, they are incredibly resilient. They are dedicated students with wonderful attitudes, despite their disadvantages. The struggles they overcome are more than many adults can handle, but they do so with a smile on their faces.

My Project

I think it is extremely important to cultivate a classroom where all students are seen. I think it is also so valuable to have a diverse and inspiring classroom library.

This project will give my classroom a diverse library highlighting and inspiring my students for not only for Black History month but everyday.

I love to do read alouds for my students daily. They have hard working parents and guardians and often, they are not always able to have someone read to them. With this addition to my library, students will be inspired, possibly identify with some and also learn about some amazing people in history!
