My Students

My bright, talented and enthusiastic first-grade students attend a Title I public elementary school in California. The students come from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, with needs as diverse as their backgrounds.

My classroom is a wonderful mix of intelligence, enthusiasm, and curiosity.

These hard-working students come to school each day excited and ready to learn. All students are welcomed and celebrated as part of our classroom community. Let's work together to help these students reach their full potential!

My Project

My students will be able to use these new materials in order to strengthen phonics, reading, and writing skills. While students use these hands-on materials, I am able to provide small group reading instruction. These interactive activities allow the kiddos to independently practice phonics patterns and story sequencing, which was introduced during small group instruction. As the year progresses, these differentiated center activities will meet each of my student's individual learning needs.

This project will drastically impact my classroom centers by providing hands-on, engaging activities to meet each student's learning needs.

Furthermore, these easy to use centers will also ensure each student receives uninterrupted small group reading instruction.
