This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in an inclusion classroom (ICT) with students varying in preferences, needs, and learning styles. THESE STUDENTS LOVE TO LEARN AND HAVE FUN! I am so blessed to be looping up with my Kindergarten class. We have accomplished so much virtually and now, we can delve into the next steps of learning in person!
My students are eager to explore their potential and take ownership in our inclusion classroom.
With your help, I will be able to provide students with classroom tools and organized learning practices intended for small group, whole group, and independent practice throughout the day. I would be so grateful for your assistance as I continue to transform my practices and classroom for students. Thank you for your time and for your continued support!
My Project
Students in my classroom will use interactive games, picture cards, alphabet magnets, letters, and picture cards to participate in learning centers throughout the school year. My students enjoy working in small groups to engage in our learning target for the day. By using centers, students will be able to have access to a more individualized learning approach. This means students will be able to work on games that are effective and challenging for their learning needs. We LOVE learning in this classroom!
We need effective literacy center activities catered to phonemic and phonological awareness as we continue to emerge in the world of reading independently!
By using these centers, we will be able to work with small groups and offer a hands-on learning approach our students can practice independently. Having these centers will take our learning to the next step. I will continue adding more centers and games throughout the year as I model learning targets in lessons and activities.
The students will get to participate in reading activities and literacy games that are centered on student-based learning. By having visual aids, students can independently use their games and centers throughout our learning blocks!
