Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the future. They are kindergartners learning how to work as a team all the while becoming readers, authors, mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. My students are silly. They enjoy using their hands to explore a variety of manipulatives and can be completely engaged by a good game or an exciting challenge.

My students make up a wonderfully diverse community that I am proud to be a part of.

Their successes in kindergarten are the very beginning of many successes that they will have throughout their education.

My Project

My little learners are ready to have their literacy center time taken to the next level. This project will help me gather materials so that I can make exciting and engaging centers to last them all year long. I like to create a lot of my centers using clip art from Teachers Pay Teachers to meet the needs of individual students. Having enough lamination, Velcro dots, and magnet tape will allow me to easily switch up centers all year long.

Having a class i-pad would be so wonderful for my students!

There are an abundance of phonics and math fluency apps available that would help target individual student needs. With i-ready lessons being available via i-pad now it would also help students reach the necessary i-ready minutes for student success.

Lakeshore Learning games will really make literacy center time my students' favorite time of the day! I can't wait to see my kindergartners blossom into readers!
