This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title I school and most of my students don't have books to read at home. This makes it difficult to practice their reading at home.

I want to use these books and book bags so students can take books home, read, and return to check out a new book.

Currently, my students take home black and white copies from our curriculum. Literacy is so important to our students and this project would allow students to enjoy actual books to practice their reading fluency and comprehension. In addition, promote the love of reading!
