My Students
My students are amazing mathematicians, adventurous and focused, they are the future writers and artists of the world! My students are working hard to become the scientists and engineers of tomorrow by learning today! We are working hard in the classroom to grow reading skills! My students are high poverty students who don't let adversity hold them back from their goals and dreams. We have military family students, and we live in a rural Oregon community. We are a diverse classroom community, and we keep learning and growing in an engaging learning environment.
The students in my Kindergarten classroom are a creative, hard-working, curious, thoughtful, and adventurous group of children.
Always eager to learn the moment they enter the classroom as they look to the daily agenda to see what the day will be and then...we are off and learning with days filled with exploration, invention, reading, creative expression, practice, and thoughtfulness. I am looking to make their learning experience even more engaging by adding learning tools for the classroom through donorschoose.org donations.
My Project
In my Kindergarten classroom we focus on fine motor skill development, art and design, and dramatic play. Lite Brite stations will provide students with fine motor development while they are creating new designs with the light pegs and blank construction paper backgrounds. The Calico Critters play sets will provide fine motor development as well as dramatic play opportunities for students. Working together they can set up the different play sets and organize the small objects that accompany the play sets. Lite Brite's are a cool retro toy that I know the students will love and Calico Critters will certainly be a fan favorite too!
