it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are brilliant, curious high schoolers with powerful stories of their own. Every day, they show up with dreams, resilience, and a deep desire to be seen and understood. But too often, the books available to them don’t reflect the rich diversity of who they are or what they care about.
I’m building a library filled with titles that not only reflect my students’ identities but also open windows to new perspectives.
From page-turning stories that spark joy to heartfelt narratives that offer healing and hope, these books will invite students to fall in love with reading (some for the very first time!).
This project is about more than books. It’s about helping students feel seen, valued, and inspired to dream big. With your support, we’ll turn our classroom into a vibrant space where stories connect us, challenge us, and celebrate who we are.
