This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students come from different parts of the world, bringing with them their unique cultures, ideas, and individuality. Students come to us with different skill levels and their academic needs are addressed with computer programs. These programs are designed to bring students up to speed with our current curriculum.

Our students are required to take a series of online tests that need the use of headphones.

In addition to testing, students are assigned computer programs to prepare them for tests such as MCAS, and these programs require headphones. Finally, headphones are needed for when we assign readings that are kept on line.

As you know, technology is paramount in the classroom. Public schools do not have the cash flow needed to supply our students with the proper materials so that they become successful students. As a result, the teacher has to spend hundreds of dollars every year that will never be reimbursed to us.

For this reason, we are so grateful to you for your donation. As a humanities teacher, I rely on technology to teach research, reading, and writing. The headphones will allow my students to access all of assigned online material that need headphones.
