This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom is filled with energetic, curious 4- and 5-year-olds who learn best through sound, rhythm, and repetition. With your support, we hope to expand our existing music and audio center by adding a collection of read-along books with CDs. These engaging resources will bring stories to life and help our students grow as early readers and listeners.
Read-along books are a powerful tool for developing language and literacy.
As children follow along with the words being read aloud, they build vocabulary, comprehension, and early phonics skills in a fun and accessible way. These stories will give students the confidence to explore books independently while supporting their listening and attention skills.
By integrating music, rhythm, and now storytelling into one audio center, we’re creating a space that supports cognitive growth, imagination, and emotional connection. Your donation helps us bring joyful, hands-on learning experiences to our TK classroom—and for that, we are truly thankful!
