My Project
All children deserve the right to learn in a comfortable and undisturbed space, including when using electronics to enhance their learning and skills. My large-sized urban classroom needs quality headphones to enable a quiet working environment while accessing daily and weekly computer learning time, as well as the mandated district assessment via the computer. My goal is to provide each child with the individual equipment needed for a quiet and undisturbed computer learning experience.
Currently, our classroom headphones are falling apart.
The headphone earpieces fall off and the ear sections break away from the headpiece: children have to use the computer without headphones and the noise level is a distraction to their learning. Children are not able to focus while learning during our scheduled and mandated computer time.
My classroom is located in a low-income, poverty-stricken urban district in which children do not have the resources at home to provide earpieces to learn properly at school. I love all of my 29 students wholeheartedly and each child deserves the right to learn in a quiet, comfortable, and safe environment: this is why my children come to school daily. My children know they are loved when at school.
