This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Students love listening to stories and music. They are excited to learning about the world around them, and listening to stories on different topics help them gain knowledge. They listen to story online, from the reading series, and on CDs.
Because some of my ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) students struggle with reading.
Listening to stories while following the words in a book can help the learn to read.
Students in Kindergarten/first grade develop foundational reading skills that will aide in their lifelong formal, as well as personal, educational experiences.
I want to instill the love of reading in my students, and listening to stories will help all students become better readers.
