This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are beginning readers who are working hard to develop their foundational reading skills. My school is in a low socio-economic area and unfortunately has limited funding for classroom technology and educational supplies, resources, and games.
This bunch of students is sweet, hard-working, and deserve the very best.
I would love to be able to provide them resources that will further their reading skills. Our classroom is hands-on and engaging, and we would love to have educational materials to support that.
My Project
My students LOVE Read Alouds! Being able to listen to a fluent reader share stories in engaging voices is SO powerful for a beginning reader.
These headphones would make it possible for my early readers to read along with great literature, and also allow them to record themselves reading so they can reflect on their progress.
Headphones would be a wonderful edition to our classroom and really further my students' reading skills. They love recording and listening to themselves read. The parents really enjoy this as well. It makes their reading progress shareable and meaningful
