My Students
I'm so lucky to teach the sweetest group of kindergarteners! I've waited a long time to be able to teach in my dream job, and it's finally here. My class is special because they already have such a great bond. I love that they have developed a classroom community and I can't wait to teach them the skills that will develop it further.
They love learning and are so inquisitive.
Like most 5 year-olds, the questions are never-ending, but it's so wonderful to see how much they want to know. Whether it's letters or numbers, they always want more. My favorite thing about children this age is their sense of curiosity. They have a wonder still that often fades in older students. I want to nurture their curiousness so that it isn't wasted.
My kiddos are smart, funny and ready to take off this year! I can't wait to get them started.
My Project
New headphones would make a world of difference in our classroom! Currently we have plenty of computers, but no headphones on which to listen. It's really affecting how well the kids are able to complete all of their ELA and Math stations. Since the technology center is featured in both of these workshops, I would love to be able to provide a fun and creative way to increase their learning.
My kinders have such a desire to learn, but are hampered by not having the correct, working equipment.
They are constantly frustrated that their neighbor's computer is too loud or that they aren't able to hear the instructions of a program. By donating a 12-pack of class headphones, you would be blessing so many in our room. This gift will go a long way to helping them stay engaged and focused on their work.
