I have a very happy, energetic, and enthusiastic group of students. They love learning and are excited about their kindergarten school year. They are very attentive. They are very helpful to one another. Even though some students are in class for face-to-face instruction and others are connecting virtually, they work together as a team. They are kind to one another, and they are always willing to help each other.
I really love that my class is very diverse.
The students represent so many nationalities and cultures. It's a beautiful thing to see them and watch them interact with one another. They are not concerned with some of the issues that distract adults. They are just focused on learning, sharing, helping each other, and being a good friend.
My Project
I tell my students that listening is a big part of learning. Listening is a gift. When you listen, you allow learning to take place. Headphones are essential because they are needed to support instruction and learning, especially during this time.
Headphones are vital for listening stations, personalized programs like IXL, KIDS A-Z, and Imagine Learning, MAP assessments, and independent learning.
Students need to have their own individual headsets so they can focus on the task at hand. After a skill or concept is taught in whole or small group, students can practice the skill. They will need their tablets and headphones to practice independently.
Headphones help to block out some of the classroom noises while students work in different groups. Headphones help students to stay focused. They will be less distracted by other learning activities going on in the classroom. Headphones help students to be engaged so they are ready to listen and learn.
