My Students
This is the most amazing group of children I have ever met. They are bright, talented and great thinkers. My students work hard and want to do well in school They love to learn new things in new ways. Most of them do speak English, but they have diverse families, socio-economic status, backgrounds. They live in diverse neighborhoods. Some children have access to internet and books, others do not. They all learn in different ways, and as a teacher I am constantly trying to challenge them.
My Project
My students are really in need of headphones. The headphones will allow them to continue to use our reading and math programs and apps that we have purchased without getting distracted. The headphones will help them improve their reading and math skills by allowing them to work at their level on math and reading. My kids love learning and practicing their reading and math skills online through Lexia and IXL. We have the technology for them to use, but we do not have adequate headphones. These headphones will allow each child to have a pair of headphones that works and that fit the iPads. That way they can focus and pay attention to their online learning materials.
