Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Spanish to a group of active high schoolers who love to get up and move. Holding their attention for a full 45 minutes each day is no small feat so I need to make sure I'm always on my game! In a language classroom, engagement and attention are critical; having choice materials that speak to my students' lived experiences and interests allow for student discourse and prolonged engagement that would greatly increase my students' productivity levels and attention spans.

My students are inquisitive and deserve only the best for their language learning experience.

The skills students learn in the Spanish classroom will help them to better navigate our increasingly interconnected world and contribute to their communities. My students need headphones with microphone attachments to continue their language studies. Without this crucial piece of technology, my students will be unable to practice their Spanish with their peers in the classroom.
