This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Listening centers are an important part of a preschool classroom. Students need repetition and continual practice. This is especially important for learners of different abilities, like those in my classroom.

Listening centers with a player ad headphones provide opportunities for students to develop and reinforce literacy skills such as fluency, expression, and comprehension.

If we get our listening center funded my students will be able to listen to stories repeatedly. They will be able to follow along with the book, which facilitates learning new vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension of age appropriate text. Our classroom will also have an auditory resource for learning.
