PreK students are all about playing, hands-on activities, and lots of exploration. Singing, playtime, art projects, and read-aloud stories are some favorite parts of their day. They are thoughtful, engaged, and always eager to come to school.
My students love coming to school for the sense of community, belonging, comfort, and security that they feel.
I strive to provide a welcoming environment where my students feel safe, encouraged and loved as they learn through play.
The listening center is one of our favorite activities in the classroom. Students love to listen to a book on their own and they learn reading skills like turning pages, following along, and looking at the pictures as they listen. The two picture book collections I have chosen will expand our listening center with some new favorite stories!
