My students need a listening center for Daily 5! They need a good place to experience literature in a different way. This would keep us organized and help us learn!

My Students

In implementing the Daily 5 program in our class, I have seen great strides towards independent learning happen. My students are taking charge of their own learning and in the process are discovering that they love to read! They work hard and deserve to be rewarded!

Our class is full of active 1st graders that love learning.

They really love when that learning is accomplished in fun ways, but also love the process. We here at our school, encourage our students to think outside the box and become stewards over their own learning. My students are becoming global citizens that have much to add to the world.

My Project

in our Daily 5 routine, our students work on literacy based activities. They practice reading to themselves, reading with someone, working on writing, and word work or phonics practice. The piece that is missing in our class, is listening to reading. This listening center will help my students to listen and follow along to reading and hear fluent reading that reinforces their learning.

I hope that my sweet 1st graders will become fluent readers that love reading!

They will be expressive and passionate about reading! They will be at or above grade level in their reading because of the work that they have done in our Daily 5 program.
