My Project
In my first grade classroom students LOVE listening to audiobooks while following along with the physical books. While students have access to some audiobooks via chomebooks or tablets, nothing can replace a physical book.
These yoto players will offer them the opportunity to listen to high quality literature while following along with a physical book.
Screen free listening offers students more opportunities for authentic experiences with books, and increases their ability to imagine the story while listening and following along. Also the programs available for kids to listen via screens have an extremely limited access to content. With a YOTO player I can take any book and turn it into an audio file for my students. Unlimited access!
Outside of the enormous opportunities for high quality literature I can use create your own YOTO cards to help students listen, read, and reread their decodable books, sight words, even math facts! The possibilities are endless! Please consider this project because I know it will have such an amazing impact on my students!
