This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom listening center would be a great addition to my kindergarten classroom. I will be using the portable cd players to set up individual listening centers and take home listening bags. Each player will be paired with a set of books that have CDs with them so the children can listen to a story all on their own. The students will be able to listen to books in English and Spanish in the classroom during their center time. There will be portable listening bags set up to send home with the students so they can listen to these stories at home.
These portable CD players will make such a difference with my kindergarten students because they will be able to hear stories read fluently to them in their own languages and their 2nd language also.
This will be helpful with my students comprehension and hearing great stories.
