My Students
My fourth grade students attend a school located in a large urban community. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. They enter my classroom with the energy and enthusiasm to learn through research, reading, writing, and listening.
My nine- and ten-year-old students are curious language learners with diverse abilities.
They are learning to communicate their ideas through listening and speaking, writing, and researching. My students persevere in many ways, but they need your support to access the adequate tools to be learners in the 21st century.
My Project
In a room of 34 students, listening to audios presents a challenge because my room is not equipped with the proper device. In a world of technology, videos and audio visuals motivate students. Reaching all of my students in a setting where they are to engage in thinking and communicating, they need the proper equipment to practice being communicators where speaking and listening work hand in hand. In order to learn and acquire knowledge, students need to research.
Listening to multimedia is a skill that is extremely important when students are researching and learning.
Students need access to listen to any educational audio recording in my classroom. Hence, a bluetooth wireless speaker is necessary in my classroom because audio recordings can reach every single child. As we explore the sciences or physical education and move to a different area on campus, a carrying case is necessary to transport the speaker, in addition to a charging device that will allow the speaker to stay charged for at least the amount of time students are in class.
