This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Headphones are essential for students to complete work on the computer and listen to stories read aloud. Many of my students are English language learners and listening to stories and lessons through headphones is critical to their success.
While headphones are on their beginning of the year supply list, by mid-year many inexpensive headphones and earbuds brought by the students are broken and their parents can't always afford to replace them right away.
This higher-quality set of headphones will help me replace those headphones when needed so no child goes without and they all continue learning and improving their language skills without delay. Donor's helped me get some of these same headphones last year and they helped our classroom run so much more smoothly. I'd love to have a few more to help my new class next year.
