Listening and Learning With Chromebooks

My Students

My third-grade students are amazing! They come into the classroom excited to learn and become involved in whatever topic that is in the plan. We have a very diverse population of students, culturally, economically, and with different learning abilities. It's become my goal to try and stay ahead of them!

The students in my classroom thrive when given the opportunity to take charge of their learning.

Whenever possible this group of students takes their learning to a different level. They love to "play school" and take over their mini-group to teach something they just learned! They question things that they might doubt, and have become adept at researching the facts!

My Project

We need five additional Chromebooks to use in our classroom. We are very fortunate to have a classroom set of Chromebooks that we keep right in our classroom and that we can use every day. However, with additional students in my class this year, we don't have enough computers for every student.

These computers with licenses will ensure every student can use a computer when we have things we do together as an entire class.

The headphones will allow students to work independently other times, without disrupting those around them since many of the activities and educational tasks we do on the computer have sound and require listening to complete the work.
