Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of five- and six-year-olds who show their enthusiasm for learning and school daily. My students are very lucky because they get to share their days and classroom with classmates of different races, cultures, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students learn best through doing and creating, and I strive to give them the environment that best meets their needs.

They deserve the best start to their education and the foundation to help them succeed. They are eager to learn with all the tools I give them.

My Project

Technology has become an essential tool in the 21st Century classroom. In my classroom, technology is an important part of both our literacy and math centers. Since we use iPads and headphones at least twice a day, one to five students at a time, we need materials that will hold up in a kindergarten classroom.

These new headphones and iPads will make a tremendous difference in the day of my students.

Unfortunately, my students are used to their old iPads not working and taking forever to load. They sit there patiently waiting while the learning tools they were given are not working and they should be learning. These new materials will make sure they are getting the most out of their learning during math and literacy centers.
