Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A large rug will help give my students a comfy place to sit during whole group lessons such as a read aloud, and a place to gather to work in a small group on activities or assignments. A class set of high-quality, over-the-ear headphones will be used by students during independent work time.
A large rug that will allow multiple student groups to gather on at once will be helpful during small group time in both our ELA and math block.
We currently do not have a classroom rug, so this would be a much appreciated addition to our classroom! My students enjoy the ability to have the flexibility to complete group assignments in areas other than their desks.
Students have a class set of Chromebooks that are used daily during their independent work time. Having a pair of headphones for each student will help them to access media on their Chromebook such as individualized learning videos and listen to recorded directions to help them better complete independent tasks without interupting the learning of others. My students are dedicated and hard-working third graders who would appreciate your support!
