This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing, smart, inquisitive, hands-on, active explorers. They come to school with vastly different experiences, cultures, and backgrounds.

My students are part of the Dual-Language Program in our school where they receive part of their daily curriculum in Spanish.

Some of my students are native Spanish-speakers and some are learning Spanish as a second language. They come into my bilingual classroom each day ready to learn. I love that they are always eager to learn in our bilingual classroom!

My goal with this project is to offer a classroom environment in which all types of learners can learn and thrive.

My Project

A CD player and set of high-quality headphones will make a huge difference in my classroom as my students will be able to use this technology in order to listen to stories in Spanish. This will enable them to reinforce language previously acquired through our daily instruction.

A CD player and set of high-quality headphones will be extremely beneficial in reaching all types of diverse learners in my classroom.

By using these, students can make connections between print and illustrations. In addition, they can enjoy stories being read to them in Spanish with fluency and expression. These tools also provide a wonderful opportunity for students to work on their listening skills.
